What if I don’t know how to describe what I want?
Pictures are your best friend! I’ll guide you through the technical details.
How far in advance should I book?
It depends on the service and your schedule!
Haircuts: usually 1–2 weeks out.
Color/transformations: 4–8 weeks is best for weekends or busy schedules.
Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Yes! Please give at least 24 hours notice to avoid losing your deposit or paying 50% of the service cost. You can reschedule directly from your confirmation email. Life happens—I get it.

Pricing & Services
Pricing & Services
Why is there a range for pricing?
Pricing can change based on product usage, time, or hair length/thickness. You’ll always know your final price before we start. Pricing is subject to change with above average use of product or time (I used a salon scale to calculate costs). You will be made aware of any increase.
How much do extensions cost?
A consultation is required for an exact quote. First-time clients can view my hair extension FAQs or book a consultation.
Is there a difference between a haircut and a trim?
“Trim the Bangs & Bits” is only for bangs, face-framing pieces, or undercuts. Full trims require a standard haircut booking.
Color services: do I need a Finish if not paired with a haircut?
Yes! A Finish ensures proper blow-dry and styling time if you’re only doing color.
Do I need to wash my hair before I come in?
For haircut services, no worries—I’ll start with a shampoo. For color, the cleaner the hair, the better, but it doesn’t have to be freshly washed that day. If you’re covering greys, please skip root sprays or powders, as they can interfere with the color process.
Corrective color: what should I know?
Color corrections may require multiple sessions depending on previous color history and hair condition. Hair health is always the priority.
How often should I come in after coloring?
Maintenance depends on your color:
Root touch-ups: 6-8 weeks
Lived-in balayage: 8–12 weeks
We’ll discuss the best schedule for your lifestyle during your consult.
Can I just come in for advice about my hair?
Absolutely! Whether you want styling tips, product recommendations, or help building a hair routine, we can schedule a Self Care Shampoo.
What hair color options do you offer?
Keune Color: permanent, demi permanent and ammonia-free options, nourishing, up to 100% grey coverage.
Keune Color Chameleon: vivid/rainbow hair shades.

Feeling under the weather or concerned about weather conditions?

For example, if your appointment is on Thursday and you start feeling sniffly on Monday or Tuesday, send me a quick text to give me a heads-up.

Curly Client Qs ➿👑
Curly Client Qs ➿👑
In a perfect world, I would ask you to try not to come in with your hair in a pony tail, bun, twists, straightened, or teased. I also get that life happens, and would like you to come in however it makes sense for you- if we need to detangle, or clarify or treat the hair, I want to do what I can to ensure you the best results.
Should I come with my hair styled or in its natural state?
Please arrive styled how you normally wear it. This helps me tailor your cut and product recommendations.
Do I need to detangle my curls?
Ideally, yes—but no worries if it doesn’t happen. Detangling that takes longer than 20 minutes may be subject to a $30 upcharge.
Do you cut curls dry, wet, or both?
Depends on your curl pattern! Wavy textures may get a mix; curly/coily textures are often cut dry first, then refined after washing/styling.
Will my haircut look good both curly and straight?
Yes! We cut based on your usual styling habits. I may ask for photos to double-check.
Will coloring my curls change the curl pattern?
Not if your hair is healthy and properly cared for! I always prioritize curl integrity during coloring.
What kind of products do you recommend for my curl type?
I use Keune Haircosmetics. I’ll show you what works during your service, and you can bring any at-home favorites too.
Will you teach me how to style my curls at home?
Of course! Step-by-step guidance is included in your appointment.
Curly client prep tips:
Avoid buns, ponytails, twists, straightening, or teasing before curly cuts if possible.
Bring your favorite comb/brush; I’ll show you what I use in-salon.
Integrity of the Hair
My main focus is to keep the integrity of my client’s hair while keeping them educated about the process, at home care, products, and services. Talking you through what I’m using, and why, is an important part of my services. As well as, afterwards, helping you decide what’s working in your routine at home.
Growing up I didn’t always have great salon experiences, and I also didn’t quite know how to take care of my hair (pre YouTube lol). Being informed allows you to have the confidence to style your hair and maintain it at home.
Various factors like chemical treatments (hair bleach, color, perms, etc), heat styling, and other environmental stressors can weaken our hair, resulting in split ends, breakness, and overall dullness. I can’t emphasize enough the importance of me using professional products formulated to protect the hair and repair. It’s also sometimes necessary to approach a big hair transformation in stages to minimize damage and help with financial investment. I’ve had extensive training to make sure that whatever is done in my chair, hair health is the top priority.
Corrective Color
Whenever natural hair color pigment has been bleached, dyed or otherwise altered at home or in another salon, a color correction may be needed to achieve your hair goal. Color correction services can be further damaging to the hair, depending on the desired result. My job is to perform the service with the understanding that there may be unknown damage that may have occurred to my client’s hair before getting serviced by me- and if you consent to corrective service, that you are aware of the possibilities we may come across if the hair is already compromised. For example, the service may not achieve the goal in one service. I will always try to achieve the desired results while keeping the integrity of the hair to the best of my professional ability.
PS. Bringing snacks to your hair appointment is always a good idea! Large projects can be lengthy, and if I’m getting hungry, you probably are too. I provide light snacks and bevs in my suite, you're also more than welcome to order yourself a snack!
