At Glamourkittensss, self-care and community care go hand in hand. I believe in creating safe spaces not only inside the salon, but also in the world we share. Here are some of the organizations I proudly support, collaborate with, or highlight for clients who want to connect with resources.
Strands For Trans is a global network of hair, beauty, and wellness industries and organizations that seek to create and inspire safe and positive experiences for all guests, especially guests from the trans community.
The barber pole is an iconic symbol for barbershops everywhere. Now, it can be a symbol for change. In my salon suite, I am proud to display this design as a signal to trans people that they can feel safe, comfortable and welcome in my chair.

Our Spot KC is a dedicated hub providing essential resources to support, advance, and equip LGBTQ+ individuals, ensuring the sustainability and growth of our community. What sets them apart is their commitment to allowing the communities they serve to shape their work—not just their funding. This approach makes them distinct from mainstream organizations in the KC metro area.
Their mission is clear: to offer safe, accepting, and affirming programming, services, and resources that empower the LGBTQ+ community. Like Glamourkittensss, they strive to build a world where everyone can feel valued, supported, and empowered to be their true selves.
Care Beyond the Boulevard Compassionate Healthcare For All
CBB delivers high-quality, reliable, evidenced-based care in the areas of primary medical care, wound care, women’s health, mental health, and diagnosis and treatment plans outside the bounds of the traditional health care setting for unsheltered homeless patients by taking healthcare services directly to our patients. My partner Steven has been volunteering with CBB for 3+ years and I’m so proud and grateful for what they can provide.
Care Beyond the Boulevard’s vision is to assist the homeless, uninsured, or otherwise vulnerable members of society have access to quality medical and mental health care despite adverse financial or social circumstances.
Loud Light engages, educates, and empowers individuals from underrepresented populations to build community power that has an impact on decision makers.
